Since 2005, Franco Di Filippo’s winery, named Estasi, has been dedicated to the Moscato di Trani production. Estasi wine arises from its producer great passion and from its deep knowledge of the territory. History and roots of the vine are fascinating. Moscato di Trani is the oldest Doc of Apulia with old origins. Merchant form Venice began to trade this wine in the year 1000, as they signed an agreement with the Trani Custom. The count of Trani , Roberto D’angio (century XIV) handled so much that he put a limit to the exports of quality wine from the harbors in the Kingdom of Naples, causing in this way the discontent of the Venetian merchants. In 1974 when the wine became D.O.C., it was improved and greatly valued.
